We are open for lunch and dinner from Wednesday through to Saturday however our three course fixed price lunch menu is only available on Wednesdays, Thursdays & Fridays - we offer our a la carte menu only on a Saturday lunchtime.
We open at 12 noon and close at 3.30pm and reopen at 6pm - we do not stay open throughout the afternoon as it is normally the same team returning for the evening service!
Lunch reservations are between 12 noon and 1.30pm and dinner reservations between 6.45pm and 8.30pm.

Our online reservations calendars takes bookings up to 90 days in advance.
If your required date falls outside of this time frame, please do contact us directly either by email or ‘phone so we can see how we can assist you with a confirmed reservation.

Your booked time is your anticipated arrival time, we have factored in time for you to have a pre-meal drink whilst looking at menus. If you do arrive in advance of your reserved arrival time you may have a short wait time before being given menus as the front of house staff may be attending to those guests whose are reservations are ahead of your own . Our reservations are booked in 15 minute intervals to aid a smooth service for our small kitchen and service teams.tem description

Yes, we are still the village local so you are more than welcome to pop in just for drinks.

Whilst we have a terrace with stunning views we do not serve food outside however you are more than welcome to have pre-meal drinks or post meal coffee outside.

We love dogs but they are not allowed in the restaurant. We do have two tables in the bar which we can allocate to you and your dog. These tables can’t be booked online, please call us to check availability

We welcome children of all ages at lunchtime and whilst we do not have a children’s menu we are happy to “plain up” our dishes and make smaller wherever possible or we can offer a pasta dish.
We do not allow children aged 5 years and under in the evening.

The majority of our dishes can be adapted for those who require gluten free and dairy free options or have food allergies and intolerances. There may be a couple of dishes which we are unable to adapt and please be aware the choice at dessert may be very limited, especially for those who require dairy free dishes.
Please do mention any dietary requirements and allergies at the reservation stage so our staff can go through the menus with you on arrival.
We can cater for vegetarians, pescatarians and vegans however choices will be limited.

We do not accommodate parties larger than six guests in a normal service and do not allow the booking of multiple tables for parties larger than this.

We do not have a dress code but we find most guests are comfortable in smart/casual attire

We do not have accommodation here at The Masons Arms, however we do have some lovely places that we recommend in the village, and slightly further afield. Please see our local accommodation page for further information - Stay local

There is parking opposite The Masons Arms and this is for use by the village residents and their guests along with our own patrons.
We do not recommend this parking to be used by those guests who wish to stay in camper vans due to the amount of individual spaces they occupy - there is a service area just as you turn off the A361 to come to Knowstone where overnight parking is allowed, this is approximately 1.5 miles from us.

There are no taxis in Knowstone, so all taxis need to be booked well in advance. Our nearest taxi firms come from over 10 miles away so we would recommend getting a quote first. We can recommend the following taxi firms:

We do allow cakes by prior arrangement. However we do charge £5 per serving
